If you want to camp in Europe, you should know that it’s going to be a little bit different than camping in the United States. The campgrounds in much of Europe are in settings that are much more similar to city parks, and some are much better in terms of amenities than others. Overall, don’t expect to find ice for an ice chest or a picnic table to eat off of very easily. A lot of the campgrounds in Europe won’t have these things. What they will have, though, are a lot of different people from different walks of life and different places all over the world. You can learn a lot about camping and culture from these people no matter where they all come from, and this is thought by a lot of people to be one of the best things about camping, no matter where in Europe they are.
The best places to camp in Europe are some of the least expensive places to camp. Even though they don’t offer a lot and you might have your tent right next to someone else’s, some of the countryside and the beauty in it are so important to a person who likes to be out in nature and gets enjoyment from that. All campers like nature, but some find it more interesting than others. Some campers are also more friendly and talkative than others, meaning that they don’t mind being so close to one another in their tents. If this kind of closeness isn’t for you, you might be better off staying in hotel or finding a larger campground where you’ll have more space that you can call your own. Either way, exploring some of the campgrounds in Europe is an enjoyable way to spend your vacation, get close to nature, and meet a lot of new people who you can make lifelong friends with.
